Long-term care of the land and its flora and fauna is a founding principle of the business plan. Aided by technology The Bulls Run is committed to produce grown under optimum natural conditions.

The property protects the river banks, floodplains and river red gums from degradation. An extensive tree planting program has been in place for over a decade. It rotates crops to replenish soils and limits chemical use. Water is treated as a scarce resource and sensors control its supply and quantity.

The newly built woolshed is an environmental and architectural benchmark which has begun to influence future wool production in Australia. The whole property is a declared nature reserve and great care is taken to enhance the habitat of native fauna such as the 150 species of birds identified on the property.
